基于竞赛的跨文化能力评价研究——以“外教社杯”上海市高校学生跨文化能力大赛为例

如何在我国外语教育中开展跨文化能力评价受到学界越来越多的关注。本研究尝试探索基于竞赛的外语学习者跨文化能力评价方法。研究首先构建了跨文化能力竞赛评价指标体系,依照指标体系设计了”外教社杯”上海市高校学生跨文化能力大赛。大赛运用了一系列文化特色鲜明的比赛项目,包括分享文化故事、开发和展示跨文化冲突案例、文化知识问答、情景评述及讲述中国故事等。研究进而通过对参赛选手表现的数据统计分析,论证了竞赛作为跨文化能力评价方式的可行性。How to assess intercultural competence (ICC) in China's foreign language education is gaining more and more attention. This study attempts to explore a new ICC assessment approach for foreign language learners based on contests. It first develops an ICC assessment indicator system, which serves as the guidance for the design of the SFLEP Shanghai Intercultural Competence Contest. The contest employs a variety of activities with distinctive cultural characteristics, such as sharing cultural stories, developing and presenting intercultural conflict cases, cultural knowledge quizzes, scenario comments and telling China stories. The study further demonstrates the feasibility of adopting contests to assess ICC with the data collected from the contest.
